BOOSTPAY - SADI DEVELOPER

Privacy policy and terms

Updated 12 October 2026

1. Privacy policy and contact

This policy explains how Boostpay uses information when you create an account, fund a wallet, buy a service, receive notifications or contact support. It applies to the Boostpay app and the related account services described here. Boostpay is developed by Sadi Developer. For privacy questions, access or correction requests, or an account-deletion request, contact Sadi Developer / Boostpay on 07034082219 or use Support in the app. Website: https://boostpay.com.ng. Last updated: 12 October 2026.

2. Account information

When you register or update your profile, Boostpay receives information such as your first and last names, phone number, email address, selected state, any address you provide, account type and an optional referral phone number. Authentication information is used to sign you in, authorise sensitive actions and help you recover access. Your device stores a session credential and preferences so that the app can maintain your session and selected settings. Do not send passwords, transaction PINs or recovery codes to support.

3. Transactions and recipient details

To process a request, we use the selected service, network or provider, plan, amount, applicable charges, phone number and transaction reference. A bill payment may require a meter number, smartcard/IUC, customer name or service address returned by the provider. Account and wallet records can include balances before and after a transaction, funding references, payment status, refunds and timestamps. Recharge and education receipts include purchased PINs or serial numbers where supplied; electricity receipts can include tokens, units and other provider receipt details. These records support fulfilment, history, customer support, reconciliation and dispute handling.

4. Funding and identity checks

Funding providers may receive your name, phone number and email address to create or associate a virtual account. The app stores the returned account number, account name, bank/provider details and references needed to identify payments. Where a funding provider requires BVN or NIN, the app asks for that information and your consent before sending it through the server to that provider for verification. The current funding flow does not save the submitted identity number in its app account records or on your phone. The receiving provider may process and retain it under its own verification requirements and privacy policy. Choose another available funding option or contact support if you do not want to use that flow.

5. Airtime-to-cash, referrals and support

If you use airtime-to-cash, we use the sending phone number, network, amount, chosen payout destination and any bank/account details you submit. Requests and administrator review records are used to confirm eligibility and fulfilment. Referral records connect an inviter to an invited account, eligible funding and purchases, reward claims and transfers. When you contact support, the details you provide, relevant references and correspondence may be used to investigate and resolve your request. Provide only information needed for the issue.

6. Device and security information

Boostpay uses an app-scoped device identifier, stored in hashed form on the server for referral checks, and account/device associations to identify repeated or self-referral registrations. A hash is still used to associate activity and is not treated as anonymous data. Servers may also process connection and security information such as IP addresses, request times, error information, authentication failures and administrative audit events. These help operate the service, investigate errors, limit abusive requests and protect accounts. Device checks do not guarantee that all fraud can be detected.

7. Contacts, biometrics, notifications and local actions

If you select a phone contact, the app receives the phone number you choose for the purchase; it does not require uploading your address book. Biometric authentication is handled by the device; Boostpay receives the result, not fingerprint images or biometric templates. Google Firebase Cloud Messaging uses a device registration token to deliver notifications, which Boostpay associates with your account. Notification permission is optional and can be changed in your phone settings. Loud voice alerts temporarily raise media volume for spoken updates, then restore it. You can turn this option off in notification settings to follow your current volume. Android notification permission, Do Not Disturb and device restrictions still apply. Short-code actions open the dialler for you to choose the SIM and proceed. Copy, share and print actions send the content you select to the device clipboard, selected app or print service.

8. Why information is used

Information is used to create and maintain your account, confirm identity when required by a funding provider, process payments, retrieve receipts, send service updates, enforce account limits and referral rules, provide support, reconcile wallet entries, detect abuse and meet applicable obligations. Optional permissions and identity submission are requested in context. If you decline information necessary for a particular service, that service may be unavailable while other supported features can remain accessible. This policy is not consent to unrelated uses of your information.

9. Service providers and disclosures

Information needed for a transaction is shared with the relevant payment processor, service aggregator, bank or funding provider, telecom operator, biller or examination-service provider. Topupmate is used for supported integrated services; the provider actually used can depend on service configuration. Hosting and email providers process information required to run the platform and send account messages. Google Firebase processes notification registration and delivery information. Authorised administrators can access relevant records for operations and support. Information may also need to be disclosed to meet applicable legal requirements or investigate fraud and disputes. Boostpay does not use this app to sell your personal information or serve targeted advertising.

10. Storage, transfers and security

Account and transaction records are held on the service infrastructure; some preferences and session information are stored on your device. Network requests use HTTPS and access to account actions is checked on the server. Service providers may process information in countries other than your own, depending on their infrastructure. No device or online service can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your device protected, use a strong password, keep your PIN private and report suspected unauthorised access promptly. If you copy or share a receipt or PIN, the receiving app, person or printer may retain it under their own controls.

11. Retention

Account information is retained while needed to provide the account and its services. Transaction, funding, refund, referral and security/audit records may need to remain after an account closes to complete reconciliation, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or satisfy applicable record-keeping obligations. Retention depends on the record and the reason it is required; it is not a promise that every record is immediately erased on request. When handling a deletion request, support will explain the records that can be deleted, any records that must be retained, the reason and the applicable period or criteria. Copies held by independent payment or service providers are also subject to their own obligations.

12. Access, correction and choices

You can review profile information and transaction history in the app, change supported account details, manage voice feedback and notification permission, and contact support to request access, correction or deletion of information. We may verify that you control the account before acting on a request. Only information reasonably needed to verify and fulfil the request should be provided. Turning off notifications does not cancel a transaction. Uninstalling the app or logging out does not delete the server account or its transaction records.

13. Request account or data deletion

In the app, open Profile > Delete account and submit the request using the account verification shown there. If you cannot use the app, call 07034082219 and ask for Boostpay account deletion or data deletion; you do not need to reinstall the app to start the request. Provide your registered phone number and a contact method so support can verify ownership. Never provide your password, transaction PIN, OTP or purchased PIN to support. An in-app submission creates a request for review, not an immediate deletion. Any remaining balance, pending payments or disputes must be resolved with you. Support will confirm the outcome and explain any records retained under the retention section. You may also request deletion of specific information without requesting closure of the entire account; support will explain any effect on the service.

14. Children and other people's information

Boostpay is designed for people who are authorised to operate their account and make the relevant payments; it is not designed as a service for children. Do not register or submit someone else's identity or payment information without authority. If you believe information relating to a child or an unauthorised person has been supplied, contact support so the account and request can be reviewed. When buying for another person, use only the recipient information needed to deliver that service.

15. Policy updates and external services

This policy may change when app features, providers or data-handling practices change. The updated version will identify its revision date and be made available in the app and on the Boostpay privacy page. Where a new use requires a separate explanation or consent, it should be provided in the relevant flow. External websites, telecom menus, payment providers and apps you open from Boostpay operate under their own terms and privacy practices.

Terms: account use and authorisation

Use only an account you are authorised to operate and provide accurate information. Keep your credentials private and report suspected misuse. Confirm the recipient, product, duration or subscription type and final amount before entering your payment PIN. Do not use Boostpay for fraud, unauthorised access, self-referral abuse or other unlawful activity. Account access or a service may be restricted while suspected abuse or a disputed payment is investigated.

Terms: prices, delivery and refunds

The server-confirmed price and applicable limits govern the request you authorise. Service delivery depends on the receiving provider. Pending is not a success confirmation and does not by itself establish that a refund is due. Do not repeat an unconfirmed payment; use status checks or support with the reference. Failed and disputed transactions are reconciled against provider and wallet records before refunding. An incorrectly entered recipient or a service already delivered may not be reversible. Nothing in these terms removes rights available under applicable law.

Terms: optional programmes and help

Referral rewards and airtime-to-cash are subject to the displayed eligibility, minimums, review and availability rules. No fixed referral income, investment return or automatic bank payout is promised. Service status is informational and not a service-level guarantee. For assistance or a complaint, use Boostpay Support or contact 07034082219, giving the transaction reference where relevant. Never include secret credentials or unused purchased PINs in your complaint.
